Its “ Science-Technology Enterprise Pioneer Center ”, which has been put into use, has a multi-function of transforming high-tech achievements, undertaking high-tech projects and enterprise incubation, and developing talents in advanced science and technology. The Center also functions as an important cooperative base for production, learning and research.

There are still 4 other centers being constructed: the High-Tech Development and Management Research Center, SDC Research Center in cooperation with Australia, New Material Research Center and Measurement-Control Research Center. They will serve as a comprehensive research and development platform showing the support given by HUST to major projects of high-tech research and product development.

HUST's FoShan Research Institute and the planned Siberia Office in Russia , which are already in construction, will take on the responsibilities of external science-technology cooperation and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements for HUST.
