EngineeringTrainingCenter
This center was built in 2001. It now has a practice base
of about
5000 m2 and its facility is worth ¥11 million
(RMB). Recently, to facilitate students’ experiments
and research in metallurgy, mechanics and material science,
this center has introduced the world’s most advanced
products from Switzerland: 5-axis highspeed milling and
cutting processing center, laser highspeed prototype manufacturing
system, and more than 100 the most advanced large-scale
engineering software Unigraphics. The center also bought
more than 50 NC lathes for students to make experiments & practice.
This center is at the front of engineering training center
among universities in our country. The founding of this
center not only helps students have the sense of large-scale
engineering and creativity, but also becomes an important
base for teachers to use advanced equipment for teaching
and research.
Modern Manufacturing Tech & Cutting
Tools Development Laboratory
This lab is a key provincial one characterized by chip
control tech, clean cutting tech & precise processing
tech, CAD/CAM tech, heavy cutting tools, auto cutting tools & high
speed cutting tools, and the automation of mechanical engineering.
It leads in chip control tech and cutting cool chip, and
is prominent in solid dry cutting tech & the polishing
of hard-to-process materials. The lab has won about 20
prizes from the state, the province, and some ministries
for its contribution.
ElectricalEngineering & Automation
Laboratory
This lab is also a key provincial one engaged in the following
teaching and research: high-voltage & insulation tech,
generator & electrical apparatus, electric-electronic & power
transmission, electrical engineering theory & new tech,
electrical power system & automation. It leads in the
following fields: strong electric field & application,
high-voltage insulation tech & apparatus, and large
generator theory. The staff is over 40, and the facilities
are worth ¥15 million RMB.
Material Research & Application Laboratory
This lab mainly serves the undergraduates, postgraduates
and doctors majoring in material science and engineering.
It is also used for the research and development of macromolecule
materials, inorganic nonmetal materials, and metals. It
has undertaken 3 projects of state natural science fund
projects, 9 projects of the State Department, 36 projects
of local governments, 38 projects of enterprises. More
than 200 academic papers have been published. The staff
is 36, with facilities worth ¥10 million RMB.
Measurement Control Tech & Instrument Laboratory
This lab serves the teaching, research and development
of undergraduates, postgraduates and doctors, engaged mainly
in automatic measurement & imaginary instrument, sensor & reliability
tech, electrical measurement & instrument, optical-electric
measurement tech & instrument. It has won 15 prizes
from the state, the province and others, and 3 patents.
More than 60 academic papers have been included in the
three major retrieval systems. It has 10 research offices
with facilities worth ¥10 million RMB.
